Breast Reconstruction Before & After

You will need to discuss doing exercises, such as arm exercises, with your surgeon after breast reconstruction surgery. These will help you reduce the side effects of your surgery and help you get back to doing normal activities.

There are a few risk and complications associated with breast reconstruction surgery, and being aware of them will help you to cope if they occur. These include:

  • Discomfort and pain.
  • Collection of fluid.
  • Itching, tingling or numbness.
  • Wound infection.
  • Finding bending and stretching uncomfortable.
