Assuring your privacy at all times

We are committed to ensuring that any information relating to your contact with St Marks is kept strictly confidential.

Emails

St Marks does not keep a database of individuals who send us emails, nor do we pass on personal details to other people or organisations.

It is not necessary to include your details when sending us feedback unless you wish to receive a reply from St Marks.

Answers to questions sent to our cancer specialists will be returned to the sender of the email, and not to a third person or address. This is to ensure confidentiality and that information is not sent inappropriately. The information that you supply and which we provide to you is kept secure for one year, after which time it is removed using secure procedures.

Research & Analytics

St Marks records some details about enquiries to monitor the quality and delivery of the service and help us plan the development of our services. This information is recorded anonymously and remains entirely confidential. Individuals cannot be identified from these records.

We may collect information about your interaction with the St Marks Breast Centre site and services. For example, we may use Web site analytics tools on our site to retrieve information from your browser, including the site you came from, the search engine(s) and the keywords you used to find our site, the pages you view within our site, your browser add-ons, and your browser’s width and height.

We may also use technologies, such as cookies, to collect information about the pages you view, the links you click and other actions you take on our sites and services. Cookies are small text files that websites can use to recognise repeat site users and facilitate users’ ongoing access to and preferences within a website. They pose no threat to users’ files, nor do they contain personal information.

St Marks may employ cookie technology to allow users to move more quickly through our site. St Marks does not and will not use cookies or any other technology to track or report on user activity when users are not on our site, nor will we pass user data to other websites.

Additionally, we collect certain standard information that your browser sends to every website you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and language, access times and referring Web site addresses.
